With the rapid development of China's market economy, we continue to improve the market mechanism, competition among enterprises is becoming increasingly fierce, fierce competition in order to seek survival and development of the Road, our businesses have come to realize that relying on experience in managing business methods have not applicable, the use of advanced methods of management of the business response to competition in the market of great significance. The core of modern enterprise management is the management of people, and therefore human resource management position in contemporary management become increasingly important. The performance management is the core of human resource management, how to design, how to implement the performance management system is the small and medium enterprises in China have explored the subject. Through the establishment of an effective performance management system, enterprises can effectively guide employee behavior incentives and constraints to improve the work of employees enthusiasm and initiative to enhance the efficiency of workers and enterprises to promote the business strategy goals.At present, many SMEs have accepted the idea of performance management and adopt a performance management system, but the promotion effect is not ideal, response to this reality, this paper described the basic performance and performance management concepts and academic research achievements at home and abroad Based on the analysis of the status of performance management of SMEs in China and current problems. Combined with a typical SME-B case corporate performance management, performance management of the B's history, current situation and problems in-depth analysis, try to develop from the improvement goals, performance indicators to improve evaluation, performance improvement of communication, the angle of the corporate culture of B company's performance management system , recommendations for improvement. Further in the case based on the analysis on China's small and medium enterprises how to design, application performance management were discussed, in order to hope that China's small and medium enterprises to improve the performance management system can help.
