A Study On The Supplier Management In Meican Company's Supply Chain

Along with the global economic integration as well as the international trade's fast development, the supply chain management was adopted and applied by both domestic and foreign enterprises. The supplier management is the core content of the supply chain management, to meet the need of the final customer, the enterprise or the organization strengthens more and more from the entire supply chain to the supplier's scientific position, the selection and motivation. The Meican Company is an American importer who has 26 years experience, mainly manages the tableware and the kitchenware product. To optimize the supply chain performance, the Meican Company must satisfy the request of the downstream customers in the delivery lead time, the quality, the delivery reliability and the price, meanwhile uses this method to carry on the scientific evaluation and selection of upstream suppliers.This thesis utilizes the basic theory of the supply chain management, and from the entire supply chain's strategic angle, elaborates the characteristics of the different suppliers upstream and downstream of the Meican supply chain, analyzes the exterior objective factors which create difference, and also discusses how to carry on the selection, the position and the motivation according to the different node supplier's characteristics and the external factors. Based on this, embarked from the whole supply chain of the Meican Company, the thesis proposes the optimal ways, principle and the concrete plan for the Meican supply chain. Also, the thesis proposes the target-oriented measures and suggestions to consummate the supplier's management of the Meican Company, mainly include: the different suppliers upstream and downstream of the whole supply chain must unify the strategic target, namely realizes the most greatly possible customer degree of satisfaction, enhances the overall achievements of the whole supply chain; to formulate the standard and consistent supplier management methods, to enhance the overall uniformity of the operation of the Meican supply chain. Hope that the thesis can help the Meican Company to have a continuous and benign development of its supply chain, and to provide a certain model or reference to any other enterprises in the same or in the similar supply chain environment.
