The Design Of Production Material Supplier Management System For Xx Company

Most of the automobile companies focus on the main processes which occupied only 30% of the whole car value, such as car design, engine, car body pressing, jointing and painting etc; the other 70% parts will be designed and bought from their professional suppliers. Thus the market share competition between auto companies evolves to the supply system competition.Now XX Company has a supply team of over 400 suppliers, which covers nearly 40-95% parts of one car. It becomes very important for XX Company to upgrade its supplier system because of the more and more production volume and car styles.Under this background, the current XX Company's supply system from the aspects of management process and supplier management IT tools are analyzed by this thesis. Through research the thesis points out that the questions are lack of integrated IT system for the suppliers'data and inefficient processes.By studying the current advanced supplier management and comparing with the XX Company's present state and perspectives, this paper concludes that it is necessary for XX Company to set up an advanced integrated supplier management system.According to the introduction of SRM system from SAP Company and the analysis of the philosophy and function, this thesis designs the SRM system for XX Company. Finally the reconstructed process and IT system in the practical application of XX company are described.
