The article describes HBM Suzhou's material localization process from strategic making, study of some main operations management issues and material localization strategic implementation. Mainly focus on quality management, technology management, team and leadership management issues include theory, methodologies development and practice.It is divided to 4 main chapters, chapter 2, 3, 4 and 5. Chapter 2 is about localization feasibility study, preparations and management theory applied; chapter 3 describes some major operations issues and how HBM fix them during localization process, which includes quality management issue and how HBM develop their own material quality management procedures, technology management issue and How HBM develop their own methodology to transfer and protect knowledge during localization, project organization and leadership issue and how HBM organize team and lead the team to achieve a smooth material localizations, also some supply chain issues; Chapter 4 describes HBM practice material localization in detailed steps with these developed methodologies. Last chapter (5) summarizes the achievement of material localization in HBM and key success factors. |
