Research On The Optimization Of Bs Spare Parts Supply Logistics For Iron And Steel Enterprises

China's entrance into the WTO and the globalization make Chinese enterprises face new challenges of international competition. As the iron and steel enterprises require a lot of imports of raw materials and the raw material prices on the international market have been high for a long time, using the modern management theory to achieve the re-engineering of organizational business process, to reduce the production costs, to make more profits or to improve the enterprises'overall competitive power has become an inevitable trend in the reform of iron and steel enterprises.The Economic Crisis of 2008 has had a great impact on the domestic large-scale iron and steel enterprises. Due to the considerable amount of overstocked iron ore caused by the inadequate forecast along with the continuous drop of the market prices for steel products, (most) enterprises suffered serious losses and have to find a way out. Logistics (, which is called the black continent in the economic circulation) has gradually been attached importance by the iron and steel enterprises and more and more investment has been put in the study of logistics. Iron and steel enterprises should improve their overall operation of logistics for competing globally, as the logistics can directly affect their products'competitive power in the market. The inventory turnover affects the liquidity, the profitability and the competitive power of the enterprises.The situation of supply logistics of BS spare parts is firstly analyzed in this thesis and then some problems in the supply logistics of BS spare parts are raised. The structure of the supply logistics of BS spare parts is firstly analyzed and further integrated, then the problems in its procurement, warehousing and distribution are analyzed, and then the corresponding optimization strategy is proposed. In the analysis of the procurement management, supplier evaluation method is proposed for remedying the main deficiencies in the procurement of spare parts for the BS and a supplier evaluation software is developed for facilitating the users'operations.The warehousing of the BS spare parts supply logistics is studied and optimized in the fourth chapter. For solving the problems existing in the current warehousing, two kinds of spare parts inventory management model are proposed in the fourth chapter. The inventory structures and the optimization of the storage spaces were also studied in the fourth chapter. The distribution model of supply logistics of BS spare parts is analyzed in the final chapter, the idea of making improvements in management systems and distribution line is proposed based upon the analysis of the practical problems.In this thesis, the overall management level and the profitability of supply logistics of BS spares parts are expected to be improved through my analysis and my attempt to solve some practical problems existing in supply logistics of BS spares parts, and the useful insight into improving the spare parts logistics management in other iron and steel enterprises as well as in the medium-sized industrial enterprises is also expected.
