Study On Cotton Spinning Industrial Cluster In Chihezi

At present, whether in developed or in developing countries, the industries with completive advantage in global markets usually put to "industries cluster" phenomenon with obvious region character as an important phenomenon in current economic word, Industrial clusters not only caused widespread concern both at home and abroad academics, but also caused great interest in all countries' governments and industry policy-making departments.Shihezi is one of the earlier emergence and development of industrial clusters in xinjiang province. Depend on its unique advantages in resources and the unique region factors, a large-scale and effect significant industrial clusters have been formed. The textile industry takes a very important position in Xingjian and the Corps's national economy. The cotton textile industrial cluster is one of the famous features in Shihezi areas. After 50 years of unremitting efforts, cotton industry has received great development and gradually became the regional support economy. Especially after 2000, with the city government increasing the investment on cotton textile industry, the cotton enterprises have a qualitative leap develop both in size and effectiveness. Now the cotton textile industrial cluster covering from cotton procurement, primary processing, and spinning to weaving, and a small number of dyeing, garment and textile machinery.Noe it has formed as a comprehensive textile industry chain. Further more, the cotton industrial cluster have developed into a complex and orderly, multi-level regional industrial network system.In this paper, we put the development of cotton spinning industrial cluster in Shihezi Areas as the research objects. And want to conduct an in-depth and detailed case study. In the part of the theoretical research, we give the definition of industry cluster, the outlines of characteristics, and the classification, formation mechanism and competitive advantages. Then enter the empirical part. For the frist, we applicated the clusters life-cycle theory to identify the life cycle of cotton spinning industrial cluster in Shihezi,the result is that the reclamation area of cotton spinning industry cluster is in a growth phase of the conclusions of the initial period. Then we make an analysis of indutry competitive advantage. At first, we made an overall evaluation on more then 15 industrial sectors by using the area of commercial law to find the competitive industries in shihezi area. Then by using the application of AHP method, we made a Systematical evaluation of competitive advantage analysis on five industries including the spinning industrial. Ultimately the result is that the integrated score of cotton industry was 0.207 points, which is taking the second place in Shihezi Area. It obvious the cotton spinning industry have some competitive advantage. Finally, we analysis the reasons of why the cotton spinning industrial cluster can take place and what is the constraints factors of feather development. The last part of this paper is some countermeasures and suggestions on how to accelerate the development of cotton spinning industrial cluster from the Government, the cotton spinning enterprises and the related industries.
