3g Mobile Services Business Model Based On The Ecological Chain

As the 3G era is approaching, China's telecom industry will usher in a period of development by leaps and bounds. While bringing us more digital experience, the application of 3G technology has also made great changes to the structure of telecom industry and its relationship with other industries. Faced with this change, the mobile providers' existing business models have not kept up the pace of technological development. View from the current situation, the operators'market position is not clear. The existing products, cannot better meet customers needs.This paper argues that presently China's telecommunications industry existing such problems: aspects of policy guidance and market regulation need to be further improved. Besides,3G mobile telecom operators also lack a deep understanding and in-depth study on the new business model. Compared with the previous general telecommunications services, the business model of 3G Mobile has the following significantly different features:First, data services have become a new profit growth point. The business model must be designed for a stable data services to customers in close cooperation; Second, more SP/CP will permeate all aspects of the value chain. As it is more difficult for 3G mobile telecom operators to control the value chain, the operators must establish the various collaborative and symbiotic business communities which have a competitive advantage and sustainable development of power; Third, the new business market life cycles continue to be shortened. An organization mechanism with more sustainable innovative ability must be built on the innovative business model.Firstly, this paper analyzes the growth mechanism and the main features of the market in telecommunications, grasps the 3G Mobile new business development and business growth law. Then, on the basis of relevant research results, the use of natural ecological communities, ecological chain and business model of the theory, it establishes a 3G Mobile new business model of ecological communities and ecological chain. Through this model, it analyzes the 3G Mobile new business development law and its inherent ecological mechanism thoroughly. On this basis. I did a systematic study on the 3G business models for new mobile services, and applied the research results to the business model of China Telecom Shanghai Branch.Research work of this paper is from a collaborative project between Fudan University and China Telecom Shanghai Branch. I have participated in the project and undertaken the main research task related to this paper. The results of this study provide a new theoretical foundation and a new method for the business model design of new mobile services in telecommunications as well as in other industries with similar features.
