Based on the theory of social foundation, this article analyzes and studies the agricultural co-operation movement in New China. In the early days of the People's Republic of China, the Chinese Communist established the general line of transition period immediately after taking the power. The target of the whole country turned to the national construction and socialist modernization from the victory of the revolution. Under such a situation at home and abroad, the progress of socialist industrialization in China should rely on national people's own strength to realize resources, funds and manpower supply by internal accumulating. The agricultural co-operation movement emerged on the stage of history under this situation. And through the agricultural cooperation movement, the communist party of China recreated China's rural social foundation successfully, making great changes in the relationship between peasants as well as between peasants and country. In the rural area, relationship mode jointed with industrialization was formed. Peasants were organized in such a relationship mode and formed highly consistent ability, which impels the national industrialization process effectively.This article contains five parts:The first part introduces the theory of social foundation and makes a brief explanation on the basic content and methodological significance.The second part presents the causes of agricultural cooperation movement in New China from three aspects:social foundation of traditional Chinese countryside and its modern evolution; the rural social foundation made by Chinese communist party under the goals of revolution; the change of the New China national goals and rebuilding of rural social foundation.The third part reviews the development of agricultural cooperation movement from two aspects:the historical process and the way of agricultural cooperation movement.The fourth part expresses the change of agricultural cooperation movement and rural social foundation from three aspects:the change of roles from advanced cooperatives members to traditional farmer; "instructions" "appeal"; achieve administrative organizational system of individual farmers directly and socialism of the world; reconstitution of peasants'perception.The fifth part focuses on the historical inspiration on analyzing the agricultural cooperation movement in New China according to the theory of social foundation.In the conclusion, this article made a conclusion to the agricultural cooperation movement from the perspective of social foundation theory. It points out that the new China agricultural cooperation movement has great historical significance and looks forward to studying China's rural problems by employing the theory of social foundation and getting beneficial enlightenment for the rural modernization in China.
