Reconsideration Of The Agricultural Cooperation Campaign During The Period Shortly After The Foundation Of The People's Republic Of China

In the period shortly after the foundation of the People's Republic of China, in order to achieve socialism early, the Communist Party of China led all peasants throughout the country towards the Agricultural Cooperation after the Land Reform . She launched a profound reform campaign in social economic relationship. The direction was correct, but the process was tortuous. There were delights and experiences from success and pains and lessons from failure. Carefully studying and specifically analyzing the active functions and limitations, we have to admit that, although it didn't achieve the desired result and even became deformed, we can get instructions and draw lessons from its experiences and lessons in the Construction of Socialistic New Countryside. There are four parts in the main body of this article.Part One: Reviewing the development of the Agricultural Cooperation Campaign in our country during the period shortly after the foundation of the People's Republic of China from its root and change process, and basing the arguments on history.Part Two and Three: Mainly analyzing the active functions and limitations of the Agricultural Cooperation Campaign. First, this paper approves successful aspects of the Agricultural Cooperation Campaign from aspects of the innovation in theory, industrialization and the development of rural economy. At the same time, basing on facts, this paper points out the limitations and the reasons for the limitations. Among the limitations is the much too quick implement during the middle and later period, the inharmonious development of industry and agriculture and the influence on peasants' benefits.Part Four: Summing up some understanding from the active functions and limitations of the Agricultural Cooperation Campaign and providing some enlightenment for the present Construction of Socialistic New Countryside and for the solution of the issue of "agriculture, countryside and peasants".
