The Study On The Relationships Between Guangdong's Urbanization And Economic Structure

Urbanization and Industrial Structure are the two main topics in the area of the economic and social development. There is a restraint and mutual correlation between the two. Urbanization is the development results when the economic structure comes to a certain stage. Along with national policy adjustment, the optimization and upgrading of industrial structure will further stimulate urbanization to a higher level; on the contrary, Urbanization also has played a facilitating role on the industrial structure adjustment and optimization. Studying the relationship between urbanization and industrial structure is to try to establish a harmonious relation which aims to promote the development between the two.this paper bring the relationship between industrial structure and urbanization with the entry point, drawing on results of previous studies and research methods, taking the Guangdong Province as an research example which's development speed and total amount lies to the forefront of China's economic. This thesis studies the historical process of urbanization and industrial structure, uses modern econometric methods of analysis, gives an quantitative description of urbanization and industrial structure according to the 1978-2008 years in Guangdong Province of time-series data. And then, the thesis makes a systematic analysis with economics theoretical knowledge according to the measurement results, and put forward the specific policies on the base of the promotion of coordinated development.The results of the thesis show that:there is a long-term stable relationship exists between urbanization and industrial structure on Guangdong Province; in the future development of Guangdong Province. There is a notable relationship between urbanization and the third industrial structure, promote the urbanization, also the increasing of urbanization influence the optimization of third industrial structure.
