In recent years, China's garment industry has a great development. But as raw material prices rises, scientific and technological progress, saving consumption, utilization, recycling, etc. will not be a major breakthrough in the short term. Meanwhile, China's garment enterprises rely on cheap labor in domestic and international markets to achieve competitive advantage in the long times, therefore, by reducing the cost of human resources to control costs is not realistic. In this case, logistics as"the third profit source"has become the focus of garment enterprises to reduce costs. Demands disperse and uncertainty enhance, so that the organization of garment sales logistics is very difficult, the shortage and backlog of cases have occurred frequently, reducing the competitiveness of enterprises. Low level of logistics management is the bottleneck to enterprises to improve their market share, enhance competitiveness. The distribution center is the most important node and the hub in garment logistics system, which plays a key role to the circulation and sale of garment. The establishment of modern, professional and efficient distribution center meets the needs of reducing inventory, responding the customer orders timely and replenishment. So, how to plan and design clothing distribution center is particularly important. This paper, as the real case of A garment enterprise planning and constructing distribution center, focusing on the planning and design procedures and methods of clothing distribution center, has strong theoretical and practical operation significance. This paper begins with the research of concepts and theories related to distribution center systematic design, and systematic layout planning (SLP) and systematic handling analysis (SHA) are the main content in this part. In the second part, this paper researches the distribution center systematic planning procedure and content with the case of A garment enterprise. In the third part, collecting large amounts of data related to distribution center design and using ABC, EIQ-PCB methods for quantitative analysis, this article completed the distribution center operations layout design, workflow design, equipment selection and configuration and warehouse moving line design. I want to combine the study of logistics engineering and work experience to propose research ideas and solutions for the planning and construction of modern clothing distribution center. |
