Application Research Of Workflow Technology In Warranty Service System

The workflow is the automatic execution of a business process,in whole or part, during which documents,information or tasks are passed from one participant to another for action according to a set of procedural rules.According to the business process and requirements of IT Company's warranty service,the author designed and realized a cooperative-work system applying the theory of workflow and WF(Windows Workflow Foundation) development platform technology,which fit the automatic process of actual warranty service and has been put into practical application.The primary work of the author is the followings:1) Researching and analyzing the requirements and business process of warranty service system,requirement modeling using UML modeling language,abstracting business prototype designed by workflow model from the results of the actual business process analysis.2) Designing the software architecture of warranty service system based.NET platform and realized by B/S architecture model.3) Workflow modeling of warranty service system applying WF,combining the elements of the definition according to the business process by workflow designer. constructing the star workflow model in line with the logic of business prototype.4) Applying the star workflow into warranty service system,the process of which can be changed,improving the customer experience by providing process monitor tool and process modifier tool.5) Designing and implementing the key technology of workflow,including star workflow modelling,workflow persistence,process monitor,process modifier and process exception handling.The primary innovation of the author is as follows:1) Advancing the star workflow model according to the actual requirements of warranty service system,defining the business process based the star workflow model, separating the definition and implementation of process.2) Designing and implementing the functions of graphical process modifier and monitor.User just needs to modify the conditions and direction of process jump,add or delete activities(which has been defined and implemented) for the purpose of modifying process.User can monitor the states of the workflow execution through the graphical process monitor interface,which improves the customer experience.3) Enhancing the efficiency of parallel development and distributed processing, reducing the coupling of layers.It has preferable rnodifiability and security.It improved the reusability of software code through using component technology development.The workflow technology,the author researched,was realized by using WF,one of the added components of.NET Framework 3.0.The achievements have been applied in warranty service system of Shanghai Kingsway Co.,Ltd.successfully.The system is functioning very well,and improves the quality of customer service significantly,realizes the information management of warranty service.
