The hydraulic support is the equipment powered by high pressure liquid and constituted with hydraulic elements and metal components. A complete process of supporting, topping, moving frame and removing conveyer can be finished. The upright post is an important pressure-containing member under the state of high pressure when working. Its service behavior affects directly the active state of the whole hydraulic support. With the feature of serialization structure, the special upright post finite element analysis system is requited in order to avoiding quantity iterative operations which will have important meaning for increasing quality of design and optimization of hydraulic support.ANSYS is one of the most common finite element analysis software in the world. It has powerful finite element analysis functions and is applied in structure analysis widely. Moreover, it has good openness and second development functions such as APDL, UIDL and UPFs.A review is expatiated for the research status in home and abroad of hydraulic support and ANSYS finite element analysis and second development technology. A kind of hydraulic support upright post is choosed as research object, this subject makes out the flexivity, striking angle, moment of flexion and maximum moment of flexion using theoretical mechanics principle and chechs intension. The ANSYS Parameter Design Language (APDL) of the second development function of ANSYS is applies to develop parameterized upright post finite element analysis system elementarily. To realize the parameterized module, template analysis process is built at first, then corresponding log document is arranged, parameterized variable is introduced, and program flow control command of APDL such as judgment statement and loop statement is applied. The design system applied on hydraulic support upright post is developed by User Interface Design Language (UIDL) of ANSYS. The Chinese venison of ANSYS is completed at a certainextent. And the characteristic of this subject is just that the parameters needed to input are simple and perspicuous. This paper illuminates how to realize the design of interface module of upright post analysis system by calling UIDL control document from ANSYS and editing menu control document and dialog control document.This subject completes the optimum structure in the principle of decreasing cost, saving resources. This paper makes out the result that gross volume decreasing 32.5% under the confinement of stress and displacement. The ensemble optimum result is apparent.In this context, a set of whole solve program of design and optimization of hydraulic support upright post is provided through parameter finite element analysis system and design system and finite element optimization technology and so on which provide powerful support for mine machine industry such as hydraulic support upright post achieving design automation.
