Research And Implementation Of Guangdong Telecom Ods System

Through the years of development, domestic telecom operators has been constructed a number of business system, and accumulated a lot of business data, which bears a lot of useful information. However, these systems were separated or overlapping. IN order to effectively solve the problems of the existing information islands, the different forms of data pattern, the complex system interfaces, and the difficulty of data calculating and so on, after 2000, the domestic telecom operators have built the Marketing Analysis System as known as the data warehouse system. But as the emergence of multi-level, two-tier structure for business data processing needs, the original data warehouse is not well positioned to meet this demand. The domestic telecom operators were introduced the concept of the ODS, to solve the requirement of business daily decision-making and management, and ODS formed the introduction of DB-ODS-DW tier architecture.For the pressure of competition in the industry and their applications, starting in 2008, China Telecom constituted the relevant technical specifications of ODS, and aim to build the provincial ODS system in the whole Group. This thesis based on the Guangdong Telecom ODS system architecture design, key technology and core module and other aspects of research, summarizes a general pattern and methods for building a ODS system. The action will promote the construction of ODS for China Telecom, and provide the domestic telecom operators some important experience for implementing and building a ODS system.
