Electronic speckle pattern interferometry is a kind of modern optical measurement technique which was developed in recent years. It has the merit of full-field, non-contact, high precision, high sensitivity, real time and so on, which has been widely applied to dynamic and static measurement, such as measuring roughness, displacement, deformation and nondestructive test (NDT). Electronic speckle pattern interferometry has good application foreground on measurement, and is one of current international popular research subjects.With the high speed development of video processing technology and DSP technology, video processing system based on DSP has been widely used in our daily life, video monitoring, video conferencing and other areas. In order to acquire 3D ESPI Image real time, we design an electronic speckle acquisition and processing system based on TMS320DM642 which is a multimedia processing chip, and introduce DSP technology into the field of modern optical measurement.Firstly, this paper introduces the forming principle of speckle, methods of obtaining speckle fringe pattern and 3D ESPI system. We research the phase measurement of DSPI and obtain the best filtering method after researching the filtering techniques in spatial and frequency domains. Senondly, after introducing the main consists of the system, we describe the hardware part in modules which including video decoder module, video encoder module, CPLD module, memory interface module, power supply and clock module. Thirdly, we introduce the software development environment (CCS) of the system and real time operating system DSP/BIOS, and describe the software process. Lastly, we describe the debugging steps and experimental results.We have completed the debugging of electronic speckle acquisition and processing system which is designed in this paper, and the elementary software design has also been completed. Both of them have acquired a satisfaction result.
