The Technology Research And Engineering Construction Of The Comprehensive Video Surveillance System Of China Railway

Comprehensive video surveillance system has always been the focus of study and consideration about the research and practice of the railway operations in every country. The traffic safety is the most important thing to the railway. Risk factors increases day by day following with the increase of the operating speeds of the train, the expand of the interval span, and the growing complexity of the railway condition like bridges, channels, across the other public roads. Combined with the great flow of stations, the complex staff composition and other factors, video surveillance plays an increasingly important role to the traffic safety. This paper probes into the technology and applications of the comprehensive video surveillance system of China Railway in the background of China's sixth largest railway speed increase, by example of the construction of video surveillance of the whole railway marshalling stations.Video surveillance technology has developed from analog to digital and then to network. Video surveillance technology becomes even more powerful because of the sophisticated video compression formats, the mature CMOS image sensor technology and chip technology, and the development of the intelligent analysis technology.In the early time, video surveillance systems were most regional deployment, with the features of broad in scope, large in quantity and unable in network. Therefore, the Ministry of Railways puts forward to construct a comprehensive video surveillance platform. On the basis of the academic study of the technical specifications of the comprehensive video surveillance system of China Railway initiated by the Ministry of Railways of China, this article first studies in-depth of the system architecture, functional components and technical requirements of the comprehensive video surveillance system of China Railway.And then taking the construction of comprehensive video surveillance system of the marshalling stations as an example, with the system's feasibility study and design, it talks about the details of the system's network structure, system function, building programs, equipment selection, etc. In the final with the progress of the project it introduces the installation and commissioning of the equipments, and the maintenance work in the operation after the project completed.
