Design & Research Of Embedded Home Gateway Based On Linux

Digital home network is called 3C system,which includes computer,communication and consumer technology. It connects all kinds of possible equipments to realize information switching and remote survey and control. If we take the research of home network gateway as a breakthrough,it is possibly that we can win a great advantage over other opponents in the future competition and gain great social and economic benefits.The friendliness of the GUI of the home gateway is of great importance when considered as the bridge of the family and the home network as well as the communication medium between the Internet and the home network.The emphasis of this theme is put on the study of home gateway,in which the current development of the home gateway broad and home is studied as well as all kinds of GUI.Based on the study of the hardware platform-YL2410,the research procedure of embedded system is studied in detail in the theme ,which includes the building of the cross complier environment,compiling kernel and the detailed process of building a home gateway filesystem.After this ,the process of building a home gateway′s user interface based on the framework of Qt/Embedded is studied.The focus of this theme is in realizing the control of home network by the friendly user interface of home gateway,which is prepared for the function expanding of the home gateway in future.Also ,the work of designing a well-performed home gateway is a complexed job ,which requires the decision of the home network that does not have a unique standerd.Because of this reality,this theme is focused on realizing the control functionality based on the common used protocol ---UpnP.By analyzing UpnP and the demand of home gateway,a home gateway with hierarchy structure is realized.
