The traditional hospital outpatient flow, which centers on medical staff, does not schedule the outpatient services process from the patient. It takes patients a lot of time for the shuttle among all departments in the hospital. This state brings a lot of inconvenience, while shorts treatment time relatively. The treatment efficiency is seriously affected. Even the patients face on risks of conflict with doctors.By analyzing the out-patient process re-engineering key technologies and outpatient flow requirements, the thesis proposes a kind of architecture to re-engineer outpatient flow, based on SOA (Service Oriented Architecture) and followed the HL7 (Health Level Seven). At first, the problems about the present outpatient flow are analysized, and the optimized flows based on smart card are proposed for medicine processing, outpatient examination, outpatient checking, and clinical attending. The architecture of outpatient flow system based on SOA is constructed to integrate the current hospital information system under the flow optimization. The integration technology based on WCF and the HL7 interchange protocol are analysized, and the subsystem design is also detailly described, such as clinic charge, doctor workstation, nurse workstation, and pharmacy management. Finally, the thesis discusses the implementation technologies, such as the HL7 interchange protocol based on XML(Extensible Markup Language), SOA based on WCF, and smart card, and the major system functions'realization about outpatient flow is described; more, sytem performance is tested and analysized. From the effects of this trail running project, the system not only significantly reduces the patient shuttle time among various departments, but also extends the time of communication between doctor and patient. Finally, patient satisfaction with hospital services is incresed.
