Currently the services represented by high-speed data services and internet application services have been developing rapidly. To lead the new market and win the competition, and meet the requirement of new services and technology, carriers are trying their best to enhance the business operation support system (BOSS) to provide the integrated support for them. What's the current status of the integrated BOSS system of the carriers? Most of the carriers only provided single service in the past and they are facing the requirement of providing multiple services. Some of the carriers provided multiple services originally but they have separated BOSS system for different services.Based on the background, the topic here will discuss the integrated accounting system and develop the system to support multiple services. The integrated accounting system should have the unified data schema and has the ability to process the data of different services and store the accounting data with the same format, which is the foundation of the integrated BOSS system to achieve the crossing services selling, billing and discounting, etc.The innovations of this topic are:Integrated accounting data schema. The design of the accounting data schema is the key of the integrated accounting system. The data schema not only extracts the same features of different services, but also is able to cover the different features of them. With the integrated data schema, we can store the data from different services together and process them with the same accounting data processing engine.Unified accounting data processing mechanism. The input of the accounting system is the CDR of different services and the format of the CDRs are different. After the processing of the accounting system, the accounting data will have the same format, and the processing engine of the accumulating model takes the key role of it. The data normalization mechanism covers not only the existing services, but also the services would be existed in the future. So new services can be supported with minimum modification of the integrated accounting system later.Modularization accounting processing procedure. The accounting system is combined with some sub-systems, including accumulating system and charge-off system, etc. In each sub-system, there are some models to process the data from different services. Models and sub-systems are independent which brings the benefit for system maintenance and services extension.
