The Design And Implement Of The Gis-based Resource Management System For Ningxia Telecom

GIS (Geographic Information System) is a computer system to capture, store, retrieve, manipulate, analyze and display spatial data. The technological advantages of GIS can not be replaced by the general MIS and CAD system.With the recent rapid development of China's telecommunications industry, the scale of Ningxia Telecom pipeline resources grows fast.But the maintain level in Ningxia Telecom fall behind the high-speed development of the telecommunications network, it's in a difficult situation to manage the pipeline resource and resulting in waste of network resources.It also affect the further development and a reasonable planning for the network. The GIS-based pipeline resource management system provides an integrated and effective way to deal with the map property and data of the resources.By analyzing the status and required improvement of the pipeline resource management for Ningxia Telecom and according to the current features of GIS, the pipeline resource management system for Ningxia Telecom is developed and a software tools named MAPGIS is integrated in this system.Firstly, this paper introduced the theory of GIS. Then according to the feature of pipeline resource and actual problems in Ningxia Telecom,this paper analysis the graphic data organization structure and database conceptual model and establishes various pipeline.resource elements of graphic data and attribute data in database table. It is a perfect way to realize the graphic management system and data management system.Then, this paper introduced the selection process of the GIS development platform,database tools,program development tools in this system.After that the implementation process is displayed by detemining the stratification and zoning in the electronic map of Ningxia Telecom,the system structure,the server and the selection of the software and hardware in the client.Finally, through parts of the system interface,this paper displays the realized function in the system.It verified that the design of the system is reasonable, easy to use, and meet the design requirements. At present, the resource management system has been put into operation in Ningxia Telecom.
