Along with the development of mobile communication technology, mobile location function is widely used. Using mobile location technology to monitor vehicle can be more effective and timely management of vehicle.The vehicle location system was a dedicated software based on GPS/GPSONE, it was used to solve seamless positioning indoor and outdoor. I participated in the design and development of the system model, system architecture and Geographic Information System. The vehicle location system mainly including the following functions:real time vehicle tracking and positioning, Geographic Information System management, terminal management, historical track playback etc. Based on in-depth functionality analysis, architecture design proposal and development and realization of system features, the finalized product was successfully deployed in business use.This paper firstly introduces the current development status of location system both abroad and in china, and the background of this paper. Secondly, discuss the principle and technology of GPSONE and GPS, Comparison their advantages and disadvantages, analysis the detail of the system functions. Then, this paper proposed the new logic structure, function and module design of a new hybrid location system. Focus on the terminal hardware design, data acquisition, Geographic Information System, map matching operation etc. Improve the location accuracy and performance. Finally, test the system and prove the system work well.
