The rapid development of computer and network technology in 21st century sends geographic information industry into a new field. Geospatial information network services have become a solution to achieve effective way of sharing resources. However, with the practice of geographic information services in various fields, security and performance issues facing in the development of geospatial information network services by using traditional distributed technology have gradually exposed, which has seriously hampered the development of network service in the geographic information industry. In allusion to inner and outer risks of geospatial information network services facing in the stages of storage,distribution, transfers, representation, and system integration application, this paper has deeply reasearched the construction and implementation of security mechanisms in geospatial information network based on WCF technology framework. Main tasks are as follows:1. Doing a more comprehensive study on the current security status of spatial information network services, a security bottleneck is pointed out in the Web Service and other traditional distributed technology when developing spatial information network services, especially when realizing spatial vector data services;2. Pointing out that WCF, Microsoft's next-generation communications technology, is to build safe and reliable spatial information network service system, the service security theory and the WCF technology system are systematically studied;3. Aiming at various aspects of spatial information network services security problem in network storage, data transmission, user authentication, rights management, four effective safety measures are made based on WCF;4. Three layers of spatial information services security framework are establishied. Combined with object-oriented and service-oriented thinking, an intact security-based spatial information service system that provides both data and fuction service is designed;5. Taking multi-source multi-scale vector data, multi-level multi-grid data and a variety of thematic data as the data source, a secure and reliable system prototype of space information network services is set up, and interrelated security and performance testing are carried out.
