With the expending of computer network structure, now the application of UPS in network is no longer just a power equipment, but gradually becomes the network management center in the power system. UPS has evolved from the initial simple function to today's intelligent and multi-functional.As the heart of UPS, it's essential to manage the battery working conditions and other parameters. But the UPS battery monitor and management system on the market has many drawbacks such as complicated wiring and cabling problems. And if using a wireless sensor network technology can solve these problems.Wireless sensor network has solved the problems that wiring difficulty and staff can not reach the area of data collection, simplified cable network caused by cumbersome wiring, the default interface, line testing, expansion and transmission pathways and a series of tedious work. This article is designed for UPS battery monitoring and management system based on ZigBee technology. In this system, the wireless terminal acquisition node in the battery pack get the UPS real-time data, data forwarding through the relay node to the host computer program. It shows that the coefficient reached the status of the battery monitoring and management purposes.The paper gives the example of real-time ATD data acquisition case based on MC13212. For meeting the neasurement range of ATD module, the voltage acquisition module measurement uses differential amplifiers which produce by TI Company. The type of operational amplifier is TL072B, which has high accuracy, less peripheral circuit and high reliability, to meet the needs of ZigBee voltage measurement. Current module uses HNC-100LA Hall Sensor to induce the current, and through the adjustable resistor in series to convert the voltage, then the current measurement is completed.In the design of software, the writer completed the acquisition terminal nodes and relay nodes firmware design, and the host computer UPS battery monitoring software. Design and implementation of the ZigBee wireless firmware drivers and ATD acquisition drivers. Monitoring software design a friendly interactive interface, and image display of battery performance parameters. This system is achieved ZigBee technology in the UPS battery management system control in an application example. After several tests, the system runs stable. For power monitoring industrial areas, it has some reference value and reference.
