The identifications based on the biometric technology have developed very quickly in recent years. All kinds of them have approached our lives, such as fingerprint,iris,hand type,voice,signature,gait etc. All those have made some success, but each biological feature has its limit. If we can find a feature that is not change and not easy to disguise, this is a big breakthrough for the biological characteristic identity. Human skeleton skull is the most complex and important part. It contains a lot of information of his bodis, and the skull features are not same between diffient people. Conditions are described in those series that the skull identification has become a hotspot of current research and application, but the information contained in two-dimensional skull is less obvious and the features of shape are instability. A skull recognition method based on three-dimensional is introduced in this paper. Main duties include the following:Firstly, we should research large amounts of data, discourse the purpose and the significance of skull recognition and analyze the relevant aspects of domestic and foreign research achievements and progress;Secondly, we should process the images, the key steps are image denoising, image interpolation and image segmentation. It is a good foundation for the three-dimensional reconstruction;Thirdly, we study two kinds of three-dimensional reconstruction algorithms, one is the surface rendering, another is the volume rendering. At the same time, we analyze the advantages and disadvantages of both. The purpose of this paper is to obtain information of the model surface coordinates, so we use the surface rendering algorithm on two-dimensional reconstruction of the skull sections. Since each person's three-dimensional shape is different, so coordinates in the data space is not the same. Now we use Visual C++ 6.0 software programming method to obtain three-dimensional coordinates of skull images and store them;Again, because the data is very large in the space, we have to compress the data of three-dimensional coordinates, and use a wavelet transform to extract important information inside in this paper; Finally, we should select an appropriate classification method to identify characteristics of the skull.In this paper, the main problem is to study three-dimensional coordinate information for the skull. After several test analysis, the results show that the cranial characteristics of three-dimensional coordinate information play a good role in the skull recognition process.
