As a part of pupils'learning, homework is always the focus of attention and one of the hottest topics. However, traditional homework has been challenged in all aspects in recent years, and the assigning of work has been questioned, especially Chinese homework with its own characteristic. Thus, in this background, it is necessary to make a research on value orientation of pupils'Chinese homework. The research oriented by the concept of new curriculum, which is based on the theory of multiple intelligence, lifelong and life world, is destined to know the real situation of pupils'Chinese homework. The research is made on pupils'Chinese homework and theme makes value orientation of PCH (abbr. pupils'Chinese homework). Its objective is mainly to reveal the causes of value orientation of PCH through unscrambling, analyzing the real situation of PCH. The whole paper is consisted of three parts (introduction, text and conclusions).Introduction:the origin and the new ideas of the research This part is mainly to discuss the background both home and abroad, the object, approaches, objectives and significance of the research.Chapterl:the research on the basic theory in PCH.The chapters is firstly to discuss and analyze those important key words, such as homework, the nature of Chinese, elementary school age, value orientation and value orientation of PCH, etc. and then state the situation of homework at home and abroad, lastly discourse the theoretical support on the value orientation of PCH from the two theories:life long and multiple intelligence.Chapter2:survey on the current situation in value orientation of PCHThe chapter is primarily to discuss the value orientation of homework through analyzing the quantities, varieties, texts and questionnaires of PCH, and also from other ways, such as society, teacher, and parents.Chapter3:approaches in multiple value orientation of PCH, A new idea about homework, called manifested multiple value orientation, is put forward in the chapter on the basis of survey on the current situation in Chapter2, that is to say, the idea including humanity, knowledge, diversity, and innovation.Conclusion:there are several following conclusions:the value orientation of PCH be based on unity of humanity and knowledge, unity of diversity in homework and the independent choice for students, unity of innovation and approaches.
