Solving the problems with respect to the quality of students’ homework in elementary and middle schools are always complicated and difficult up to now.In terms of students,they are faced with problems like being given too much homework with inappropriate control of difficulty and low qualities.While the instructors are faced with huge amount of grading work,difficulty to deal with complicated situations for each individual,which will become a heavy burden and communication block between instructors and students.Furthermore,such kind of situation will affect the quality of operations in teaching activities as well.On the other hand,parents are faced with problems like the difficulty to offer proper guidance for their children,and failure to master their children’s overall condition at the same time.With the fast development of information technology in educational area,homework app based on mobile platforms has become more and more popular.Homework APP has the characteristics of mobility,interactivity,versatility,fun,and automation.The solution work APP can provide detailed problem-solving steps and accurate answers by relying on the large-scale solution bank and the teacher’s explanation within it.Electronic Homework App can bring “paperless” and “personalized” operating experience to teachers and students.It can directly arrange and complete homework assignments in the homework app.It can automatically correct objective problems and reduce the workload of teachers in grading homework.It provides teachers with rich learning experiences for analyzing data.After investigation,there are many homework APP users in primary and secondary schools in Zhengzhou.However,it also brings about problems to us,does the usage of homework APP indeed solve the complex problems as mentioned previously? What are the pros and cons of applying APP? How to use the APP effectively to solve our current homework problems nowadays,etc.Due to the huge number of users of homework app,we need to make investigation and do some research in this area and come up with some suggestions and strategies to solve the potential problems.This paper uses literature analysis method,content analysis method,and questionnaire survey method to conduct product research and analysis on the existing operation APP,and combines a questionnaire survey to study the application status of homework APP in 885 primary and secondary school teachers and 2,070 primary and secondary school students in Zhengzhou,China.The key conclusions in this paper includes: 1.Correctly understanding the relationship between homework and homework app;2.Balance the quantitative relationship and functional complementarity between electronic homework and traditional homework;3.Mastering “parental intervention” to exclude student work apps during their use Interference factors;4.Strengthen information literacy education for elementary and middle school students;5.Optimize homework structure;6.Some suggestions based on privacy protection.
