Chinese Corresponding Form Of Karean Comparative Sentence

The comparative sentence is an expression with meanings in both semantics and syntax in all languages of the world. However there are some similarities and differences among different languages. To find out these similarities and differences in structure, semantics and syntax is of great significance in both theory and practive for the the mother tongue and the sencond language studies.China and Korea are located in Asia as neighbours. With the regualr trade, people of the two coutries are enthusiastic about the learning of the language, history, custom and culture from each other. This essay studies from the Korean comparative sentences and then tries to find its corresponding forms in Chinese and use the theory and moethod from comtrastive linguistics to give extensive discussion on the similarities and differences of the expressive form of the comparative sentences.The essay consists of five partsThe fisrt chapter gives brief introdution of the purpose, significance, contents and the methods of the studies on Koorean comparative sentences and the corresponding form in Chinese. And it also gives separate description on the former researches and current situations of Korean comparative sentences and the Chineses ones and the contrast between them.The second chapter is about the contrast and analysis on Korean comparative sentences and t the corresponding forms in Chinese. It concentrates on similarities and specialties of the four elementary elements of the comparative sentences-subject, baseline, mark and result of the comparison-in Korean and Chinese languages. The subject and the baseline of Korean comparative sentences are relatively free and flexible. The order can be exchanged without the change of the meanings; while the Chinese ones are rather limited, following the rules of subject first, only with the exceptions of some disparity sentences. In the aspect of the omission of the comparative terms, both of Korean and Chinese can omit part of the structures of the baseline but with different conditions. Compared with the Chinese ones, the comparative marks of Korean disparity sentences are rather small in number, following the baseline as auxiliary words. The Chinese marks are of various forms, some can be put into the middle of the subject and the baseline, some can be put in the former and latter part of the baseline, still some others can be put behind the comparative result. Both of the Chinese and Korean disparity sentences mainly use the grammatical method-such as the comparative marks -- for expression, while sometimes use lyrical method. Chinese comparative sentences are various in forms and methods. Korean disparity sentences are pretty free in expressive forms of the comparative result, such as the usage of some genre words, while the Chinese one are rather restricted.The third chapter is about the similarities and differences of the equal comparison sentences and the corresponding forms in Chinese. The equal comparison sentences can be divides into two relations-equality and similarity. The equal comparison sentences with equality are almost the same as the corresponding forms in Chinese, while the comparison sentences with similarity are not.The fourth chapter focuses on the semantics and syntax studies of the negative forms of the disparity sentences and equal comparison sentences in Korean and Chinese. The Chinese corresponding ones are relatively various and complicated.The last part is conclusion, which gives concise and brief generalization of the contents, makes some comments on the inadequate work of the essay, at the same time makes some arrangements of the next step of further studies.This essay focuses on the expressive form of the comparative sentences, makes concentrative studies on the comparison from the aspects of semantics and syntax. All the things mentioned are full of descriptions and explanations.
