Asthetic Appreciation Value Of Fengzikai's Manhua

Feng Zikai is a great talent in the history of modern culture in China, he achieved a high success in the area of drawing, literature, music, interpretation, calligraphy and art education. He created loads of works in his life and he is especially famous of his "manhua", which is simple in form but rich in the meaning. He is excellent in using compact lines to express and reflect the savor of life.Actually, the word "manhua" is spread by him over China though he is not willing to accept the title "the father of manhua". His research on manhua contributed a lot to the history of Chinese manhua research. The appearance of<Zikai manhua> is a signal that the development of Chinese manhua has gone on track. So Feng Zikai's manhua has great value in the history of Chinese manhua.In this thesis, on the one hand, i classified Feng Zikai's manhua as lyrical paintings, children paintings, paintings of the world around, religious paintings and narrative paintings in the background of his life and educational experiences as well as several important people in his life who effected him to a large extent. On the other hand, I analyzed and concluded several features of Feng Zikai's manhua, they are amenities, literariness, artistic conception, societal feature and religious feature.Besides, I also made a brief analysis and conclusion on the creation, appreciation, development and research situation of Feng Zikai's manhua. In one word, the research on Feng Zikai's manhua has aroused extensive concern in academe both in China and abroad.Feng Zikai's manhua is worth being studied and researched because it has tenacious vitality. But to learn the essence of his artistic works, we still need more effort. Only to self-cultivate and love life, take art into our lives can we learn the soul of Feng Zikai's manhua and find poetic beauty in life.
