Objective::In digestive systerm, esophageal carcinoma is one of the most common maligmant tumour, which was treated mainly by operation, companied by chemotherapy. But therapy does not produce desired effects that contribute to esophageal carcinoma's invasiveness is powerful, and its prognosis is poor. Therefore, we conducted the present study to evaluate the correlation of nm23H1 and S100A4 expression with Clinicopathological Factors of esophageal carcinoma and the correlation of nm23H1 with S100A4 expression.We also determined whether these results can be used to provides reliable scientific reference for clinical treatment and prognosis.Methods:Nm23H1 and S100A4 expression were studied by SP immunohistochemistry in 60 samples of esophageal carcinoma tissues and 20 samples of normal esophageal tissues.The study was also combined with analysis of the pathological behavior.Results:1,The positive rate of nm23H1 expression in esophageal carcinoma and normal mucosa adjancent to tmnor Was (31/60,51.7%) and (16/20,80%) respectively, which Was obviously lower in the former than in the latter(P<0.05).2,The positive rate of nm23H1 expression in esophageal carcinoma with lymph node metastasis Was significantly lower than that without lymph node metastasis(5/21,23.81% VS 26/39,66.67%, P<0.05); The expression of nm23H1 is also related to depth of invasion(P<0.05),,and not related to sex,age,histopathologic classification and size (P>0.05);3,The positive rate of S100A4 expression in esophageal carcinoma and normal mucosa adjancent to tmnor Was 43.3%(26/60) and 20.0%(4/20), respectively, which Was obviously higher in the former than in the latter(P<0.05).4,There Was a significant diference in the positive rates of S100A4 expression between the low and high diferentiated esophageal carcinoma(21/31,70.92% VS 5/29,17.24 %,P<0.05); The expression of S100A4 is also related to depth of invasion (P<0.05);The positive rate of S100A4 expression in esophageal carcinoma with lymph node metastasis Was significantly higher than that without lymph node metastasis(13/21,61.9% VS 13/39, 33.33%, P<0.05),and not related to sex,age and size (P>0.05);5,The expression of nm23H1 was negatively correlated with S100A4 in esophageal carcinoma (rs=-0.522,P<0.05)Conclusion:1,The expression decreased of nm23H1 was associated with the infiltration and metastasis of esophageal carcinoma.,these results can be used to provides reliable scientific reference to institute therapy project of esophageal carcinoma and evaluate metastasis and prognosis.2,The expression upregulation of S100A4 was associated with the infiltration and metastasis of esophageal carcinoma.,these results can be used to provides reliable scientific reference to institute therapy project of esophageal carcinoma and evaluate metastasis and prognosis3,Expression of nm23H1 protein was significantly negatively related to that of S100A4, These findings suggest that the synergistic interaction of nm23H1 and S100A4 plays an important role during the development of esophageal carcinoma.
