Objective:To study the expression and signifiance of nm23H1 and MTA1 gene in carcinogenesis and metastasis of Hazak's esophageal cancer. Methods:The expression of nm23H1 and MTA1 gene was detected in 20 cases of esophageal cancer tissues and tumor-adjacent normal tissues by the methods of Reverse Transcription Polymerase Chain Reaction, and analysised the signifinance with clinicopathological variables. Results: Compared with 20 cases esophageal cancer and tumor-adjacent normal tissues, the high expression rate of nm23H1 in esophageal cancer tissues was 50%(10/20).The frequency of nm23H1 overexpression was 40%with lymphoid node metastasis,60%in those without metastasis and 71.43%in T3 stage carcinoma. The high expression rate of MTA1 gene in esophageal cancer tissues was 25%(5/20).The frequency of MTA1 overexpression was 30%with lymphoid node metastasis,20%in those without metastasis and 35.71% (5/14) in T3 stage carcinoma. The expression of nm23H1 and MTA1 have no significant deviation in high and poorly differentiated tissues,nm23H1 and MTA1 gene coexpressed in 25%carcinoma tissues. Conclusions:The genes of nm23H1 and MTA1 play important role in carcinogenesis and development of Hazak's Esophageal Cancer. The joint action of Nm23H1 and MTA1 gene can promote carcinogenesis and development of Hazak's Esophageal Cancer. The results different with ducuments suggest that the specific mechanism may control the development for Hazak's esophageal cancer.
