The fact that Yellow River is plenty of mud is the obstacle which drop irrigation is applied in the Yellow River drainage area. It is the guarantee which drop irrigation is applied in the Yellow River drainage area that the water which is applied to the drop irrigation equipment is poor of mud. The filtrating equipment will invalid because the mud is plenty. The precipitating pool is cost and discontinuous. Thus the study of equipment separating Yellow River water-mud is no time to delay.Disc separator is designed and test is made in this study. The principle working of Disc separator is introduced and the parameters is selected including rotational part thickness , clearance between two dishes, Disc generatrix taper, Disc height and radius. The power and separating capability is estimated. The vibration causes of separator are analyzed emphatically. The locale balance method which solves the homeostasis about the whole separator is put forward .The effect of Disc separator parameters to separating purpose is analyzed by tests and Disc separator parameters are optimized.In the research of this thesis, the application and practicability is criteria for design plan and research content. Little test and much information is the principle of test plan. Disc separator parameters are optimized , which is the base of study in the future.
