This paper analyzes the gas regulator and diaphragm works, which determines that diaphragm pressure regulator performance is related to the changes in effective area of the the main diaphragm and the balance diaphragm. This paper analyzes the relationship between the effective area of diaphragm and opening extent of valve port by MATLAB theoretically. These provide the foundation for finite element simulation of diaphragm and the numerical simulation of booster.In order to accurately simulate the flow field changes in regulator, this paper simulates Italy's NORVAL630 gas regulator. The three-dimensional model of gas regulator and various parts of the test system is established by the use of CAD software UG.. Hypermesh is imported to geometric cleaning, structural optimization and mesh. Then the CFD software GAMBIT is used to set up boundary conditions and fluid properties. The operation of different conditions of gas regulator is simulated by the CFD software FLUENT. The large number of pressures are obtained. By observing the simulated field map, the feasibility of the simulation is proved.By using reverse engineering technology, point cloud of regulator diaphragm is obtained through laser scanning. The curved surface is obtained by using the software Imageware to process point cloud. Imported to UG to produce entity, then accurate entity model of the regulator diaphragm can be obtained.In the sixth chapter of this paper Umat were used to program constitutive equation of woven composites,imported into the finite element simulation software called Abaqus.And the change of diaphragm effective area in pressure adjustment is given by using water regulator to simulate the statics unit of the diaphragm work conditions.Also the the accuracy of the results is boosted with the help of model technology.Accurate pressure regulator diaphragm obtained characteristic curves is given by adjusting the simulated conditions of CFD, with the changes of Diaphragm effective area taken into consideration, and the simulation is verified through the voltage regulator tests.Finally we predicted the properties of material which is with excellent performance by the regulator,and provided a reference in selection of materials for the diaphragm.
