With the development of the national economy and the growth of electricity consumption in industry, agriculture, commerce and everyday living, electricity generation and supply is accelerated. Power energy with a variety of electrical parameters is attracting much attention as a commodity directly related to the economic efficiency of power enterprises. Each country has been working to improve the accuracy of metering since electric energy was put into use. More accuracy metering standard can not only improve a country's metering ability but also boost the development of energy industry and national economy.How to design the 3 phase static multi-function energy meter is a important task for the engineers in our country, this type of the instrument can use for measuring electrical energy high accurately and monitoring electrical value in industrial automatic controlling system, for example current, voltage, frequency, active power, reactive power, etc. In this dissertation had discussed the function, technical data and application of 3 phase multi-function energy meter IC from the fields of selecting the plan of measuring circuit, the way of energy calculation and formulas derivation. Finally, in this paper the function and performance of the energy meter IC is tested comprehensively. The test data proves that the algorithm is correct, the design meets the design requirements, and function and performance reach the design goals.
