Network Of Urban Space And Places To Study

The informatization is building a truly global picture. Today the network is a remarkable characteristic of the urban space. Basing on the perspective of network cities, it studies the characteristics and trends, proposes the theory of city network construction and going with example analysis in the paper. And this has certain theoretical and practical significance.This article is more like a research about the design and methods, and its purpose is making the network concept accepted in the people and changing the inadequacies of traditional knowledge. First it cards the domestic and foreign theories and methods of network cities. Then it builds the epistemology of network city space in fluidity and complexity. On the basis of above, the network construction is built including in basic principles, elements, and growth pattern et al. At last the analysis of contemporary cities is did following with the ideas and methods above.In this paper, the basic view can be expressed as follows:The complexity and fluidity are the salient features for the space in contemporary city; Networking of space is the inevitable trend; Network growing is dynamic process, which showing as the two aspects of internal optimization and external expansion of network. A new framework about urban space and place is mainly covering the important aspect just as sustainable development, urban governance, compact network, cultural training and et al.The innovation of this paper includes three respects behind. The first, the innovation is in the views. It builds the epistemology of network city space in fluidity and complexity in this paper. Second, in the research methods, it uses the multidisciplinary theories and methods, expanding the research of network city space. Third, in addition to the space research of network city, it conducts rich meaning from the point of place, and points that commercialization and fluidity is the feature of the place.
