Comprehensive Evaluation Of The Mountainous Rural Highway Traffic Safety Research

Rural road, as an important constitutional part of our nation's highway ,play an increasingly important role in national economy. As traffic volume and travel speed have increased in recent years,and the trip rate also increased. However the traffic safety situation is increasingly severe as a result of above-mentioned factors,poor traffic management and road conditions etc. How to solve traffic safety problen of rural road is an urgent mission for the government departments. therefore. Road safety evaluation plays a very important role in the study of road safety, it analyzes the status of road safety according to the present operation and the past statistics ,evaluates safety levels,so as to find low-safety-levels roads and take some safe measures correspondingly .it is of great significance in improving the road safety,and reducing traffic accidents.The article analyzes the safety situation of the rural road in our country ,finds out the factors which influence the road safety and put forward the concept which the road traffic system consists of pedestrians,vehicles,surroundings, roads and management,Based on investigation evaluation index systems were set up from two sides of hidden index and accident index after considering the characteristics of rural road.The paper also adopts the theories of Analytic Hierarchy Process and Uncertained Measurement to fixed on the weights of different indicators in the system, builds up evaluation data base. It makes use of mathematic model method to form rural road safety evaluation models and analyzes them. According to collected imformation ,the total safety condition of rural road would be evaluated and the level of the rural road safety would be identified. My paper brings forward the improving measures for traffic safety according to the evaluation results.My paper suggests that the safety evaluation of rural road is a successful application of the safety evaluating approach.The safety evaluation for rural road is feasible theatrically and exercisable.All the factors I mentioned above can safely arrive at a conclusion on that the application of the evaluation approach can improve the safety of rural highways.
