In construction, durability is one of the main factors of the impact of building quality, appearance and service life, is also a problem that can not be ignored. It refers to the material potential ability, which resists the long-term damaging effects of its own or environmental factors, and it is a broad, comprehensive, systematic concept . However, due to the requirements of some special performance, involved in the durability of materials engineering areas, are more intuitive and urgent, so the durability of the materials lacks the overall research.This paper analyzes the various factors, which affect the durability of the Yellow River silt sintered cellular bricks, through a combination of theoretical and experimental approach, and put forward corresponding ideas and methods to solve the problems. The research work of this paper is mainly focused on the following aspects:(1) Explore and analyze the various factors of the impact on the durability of the Yellow River silt sintered cellular bricks wholly, obtain the three control indicators of the durability: floating hoarfrost, lime burst and frost resistance, through the phenomenon of the Yellow River silt sintered cellular bricks' floating hoarfrost, lime burst and frost resistance, represent the mechanism of production and harm caused by it, and work out the trial program of the control indicators;(2) Through tests on floating hoarfrost for two groups of the Yellow River silt sintered cellular bricks, this paper has got the main factors ,which impact the phenomenon of floating hoarfrost , and put forward some measures to ease the phenomenon ;(3) Through tests on lime burst for two groups of the Yellow River silt sintered cellular bricks, analyze the reason why the phenomenon of lime burst generates, establish model analysis for the failure modes, fit the experimental data, get the relationship between limestone particle size and the generation of lime burst, in order to get a reasonable size of the limestone, which is required by raw materials in the brick blocks' production process, finally propose measures to reduce the burst lime, which has some reference guiding significance for the specific requirements of the limestone in raw materials and body of production technology in the production process of the Yellow River silt sintered cellular bricks;(4) Through tests on freezing and thawing cycle for four groups of the Yellow River silt sintered cellular bricks, which have variant porosity, analyze the results of tests and fit the experimental data, study the frost resistance of the Yellow River silt sintered cellular bricks in different porosity, get the relationship between porosity of production and its frost resistance, to explore the limited products porosity of the molding products; finally put forward some measures to reduce the failure phenomenon of freezing and thawing;(5) Based on the three control indicators trial of the Yellow River silt sintered cellular bricks, analyze the cross-factors between indicators of the durability, and then analyze the cross-factors' effects for the overall durability of brick blocks, finally propose some measures to improve its overall durability.Grasping the various factors of the impact on the durability of the Yellow River silt sintered cellular bricks wholly, analyzing each influencing factors for specific indicators and putting forward ideas and methods to solve the corresponding problem, have an important value for building quality, appearance and service life. This can not only solve the durability issues, encountered in practical engineering, but also can guide the production, thereby bring certain economic and social benefits.
