Non-ferrous Metal Project Design Quality

Quality management in design is a major part of production management in geotechnical investigation and design units. Quality management is fundamental for the existence of geotechnical investigation and design units. The achievements of quality management have a very close relationship with construction project investment, project quality, technical level of production equipment, product quality, and production cost, and have a direct impact on the economic benefits of the project after production. However, design quality is a result of various factors in project design. We have to summarize the design quality of finished projects for improvement and upgrade. We can not be limited by existing rules and regulations of quality management. We shall progressively update the specifications for design quality management under the guidance of quality management theory.The paper has applied fundamental theory of project quality management to practice and analyzes main factors which influence the design quality of non-ferrous metal projects based on the status investigation of non-ferrous metal projects' design quality and the author's design management practices in engineering projects. The author analyzes the reason why these factors would influence the design quality and puts forward a number of initial design management methods and measures to ensure design quality, expecting to eliminate the problems of project design quality management in geotechnical investigation and design units of non-ferrous metal as many as possible and to improve the quality of project design on the premise that the time limit of project design is kept.The paper introduces cases of practical application of the above design management methods and measures ensuring design quality to engineering project design management. The paper also puts forward issues for further study on these grounds, expecting to improve management methods and design quality continously.
