Gantry Crane Structure Cad Technology

In the view of existing situation and requirement of the crane industry, it urgently needs a sort of professional design software which combined various functions together. Therefore, the paper developed and researched CAD structural design software of the general purpose gantry crane.Through analysis functions and features of different parts of the software, it divided into several parts: frame construction and software integration, structural theory analysis and modeling, optimized design modeling, visualized design modeling, documentation drawing modeling, three dimensional modeling and automatic document modeling. The main tasks of the paper is about frame construction and software integration, structural theory analysis and checking and give analysis of common connection form of the crane.Through building the main frame of the software system, determining data file and data structure, clearing each module and give further research of the structural theory analysis and checking module, which can be divided into dimensional calculation model and structural calculation model. After structural analysis of the crane, dimension chain can be constructed, then it will be converted into member function and dimensional calculation model will be established. Through the structural modeling of the crane, stress, deformation and depth-width ratio of the critical section will be calculated and then judge whether it fulfills requirements of material properties or not, determine optimized variable for optimized design, construct objective function and constraint condition and complete construction of the structural calculation model. During the structural calculation, it is found that the joint strength of the crane is difficult to meet the requirement, so the thesis gives strength analysis of common connection form, bolting.The paper adopted Windows operating system and completed the CAD design software of the gantry crane based on VC++ programming language. The thoughts and methods provided a new thought in engineering design, which have certain theory of meaning and use value.
