Research, Project Management Organizational Structure Based On Information Entropy Theory

In project management, project organization is one of the most important aspects. Under the conditions of typical projects, organization structure and organization relationships of the project have the leading influence on project management performance.This article describes characteristics of project management organization, based on which the factors affecting project organization are studied. Then structural models commonly used by project management organization, such as functional organizational structure, project mode organizational structure, and matrix system organizational structure are analyzed, on the perspectives of their advantages, disadvantages and scope of application.Several kinds of important information communication in project management organization are researched, as well as the influence of information and communication technologies on project organization structure. A conclusion that information and communication technologies are influence factors in management organization structure is drawn through analyzing changes of information communication and organization structure. The paper points out that network organization which treats network information intermediate agency as the core will be the main organizational form of project management organization in network society.The conception of managerial entropy is introduced into project management organization, and the possibility of project management organization becoming dissipative structure is proved. It is found after the analysis that influence factors of managerial entropy of project management organization include information transmission, organization structure, organization system and environmental factors. The main factors of positive managerial entropy and negative managerial entropy generated from project management organization are researched.This article builds structure entropy model quantitatively evaluating project management organization based on entropy theory, and comprehensively evaluates the rationality of project management organization from two aspects, timeliness and accuracy of organization's internal information transmission.
