| Windshield failure of a certain small caliber nose fuze is the main problem that influences the long storage and use of the fuze. This paper analyzed the factors for windshield failure of a certain small caliber nose fuze, it mainly analyzed and studied from the view of internal stress, by analyzing the cracks on the plastic and thin windshield in production, fuze and projectile assembly, logistic handling and various environmental conditions, analyzed the stress of windshield in various environmental conditions, theoretically analyzed from the aspect of the generation of internal stress, and determined all the causes of cracks on the plastic and thin windshield through verification test. By analyzing the material of the windshield, injection molding technology, mould design, parts machining, electronic components encapsulating, fuze assembly structure and storage onditions etc., put forwarded the advanced technological method to reduce the internal stress of the windshield and solve the problem of windshield failure caused by the cracks. This paper proved that the factor analysis of the windshield failure is reasonable, the adopted technological method is feasible and the windshield meets its performance requirements through the laboratory test, long-storage test and marine environment climatic adaptation test of the fuze. |
