Passenger car as a principal member of the car family, and one of the main land-based road passenger transport vehicles, it is playing an irreplaceable role in the modern transportation. Passenger car power train, as the driving force for the normal passenger traffic, its role is essential. The passenger vehicle power train of power and fuel economy has a great impact on bus power, good or bad fuel economy is depended largely by the performance of the engine and chassis parameters of power train choices. So passenger vehicle power train parameters of highway bus design have become an important part. According to statistics, the results show that most of the domestic automotive engines are of work in the area to stay away from the best fuel economy. This was mainly due to engine and power train parameters improper matching. The unreasonable match of the power train and engine performance parameters, both of them will not give full play, so that the passenger vehicle performance can not be the best. Therefore, the bus engine and its transmission system a reasonable match, give full play to the bus is the key to overall performance.
