Construction is an exploitation behavior which human beings alter and adapt to environment all around. The construction behavior includes consumption, transformation and conversion of large nature resources. Obviously, these behavior has affected environment in every respect, and will affect sustainable development. The industry of construction is a typical industry of energy consumption, its construction, operation and maintenance need a large consumption of energy resource.China is on the fastigium of urbanization. The total amount of resource consumption has increased rapidly because many of our past planning and policy didn't consider sustainable development fully. Energy-conservation of buildings is the world tide and is the emergency demand of our country's development. Energy-conservation is important to the industry of construction. The development energy-conservation not only reduces energy consumption of buildings, but also relieves the tension of lacking of energy. When we speak of energy conservation, we have to consider how to save energy of building when it is in operation, except for adopting materials of economizing ground and saving energy. Heat losing of outer enclosure is bigger than others in building, outer walls share a lot of part. After introducing several kinds of heat preservation ways of outer walls, the article take the AAC/ALC(Autoclaved Aerated Concrete/Autoclaved Lightweight Concrete) as the research object by emphasizing it's characteristic and predominance. The article give an example of applying AAC/ALC as self-heat preservation to the outer walls in a building, to show how to apply AAC/ALC in energy-efficient buildings.
