| Through the analysis of its internal spatial features and the corresponding design of the triplet compound building of Fuoshou Lake, the article intends to review how the modern buildings evolve from the traditional ones. Furthermore, the article also demonstrates how the Chinese traditional culture is translated into the actual internal design of this building project. The article is divided into three sections: The first section is devoted to the analysis of the internal spatial features and the overall spatial structure of the building compound, with the aim of revealing the significance embodied by the building through elaboration on relevant design conceptions. The second section focuses on the implementation of designing ideas, showing how to achieve harmony between internal and external designs for a building through adaptation and creative application of the traditional building values. The third section concludes that inheritance is only possible through accurate and comprehensive understanding of the traditional culture, with buildings serving a vehicle for effectively expressing underlying spirit, just as pointed out by the famous designer Mr. Bei liumin that designing a building is a way of inheriting tradition by incorporating the Chinese building culture and unique perspectives into buildings. |
