With the development of modern society, theydon’t live in their vernacular architecture any more. While some people still live in theirvernacular architecture at the same time.Of course,no absolutely comfortable building existed in this world. We take theconstruction of climate adaptation into consideration at the same time. More to considerwas the ability of the inhabitants living in the building of the adaptability of the indoorclimatic in the different season. In this paper, draw a long time measurement of indoorthermal environment parameters, and then come to the comfort of indoor environmentconditions;found out the factors that affected the inhabitants in the environmental were notcomfortable;the comfort criteria and evaluation methods currently obtained inair-conditioned environment wthether are applicable to natural ventilation environment invernacular architecture or not.It is the key attention of this article. This paper is dividedinto seven chapters to illustrate the research content:Chapter one, which aiming at building a clear and complete background for the latterchapters, gives a brief introduction of the background of the research, the present researchstatus home and abroad, content, aim, significance, range, research methods andmethodology, research procedures and research challenges;Chapter two uses method of reading the literature to study the County’s natural andcultural background of Chongyang, uses field research to analyze the status of thetradition building in Tangdi village which carries out this research;Chapter three uses field research to find out the comfortable and uncomfortablesituation of the inhabitants of Tangdi village, and make full use of the method of Statisticsto analyze the field observations data to find out the physical parameters of indoor climatewhen the inhabitants living the houses built in different period feel comfortable anduncomfortable. The comfort or discomfort of the inhabitants of the situation living in traditional houses built in different periods was investigated;the author find the comfortcriteria and evaluation methods currently obtained in air-conditioned environment are notapplicable to natural ventilation environment in vernacular architecture;Chapter four analyzes the physical parameters of indoor climate where theinhabitants living in the house built in different periods are uncomfortable;the author findthe factors that affect the comfort of living environment by analyzing people, indoorenvironmental factors and building pathology with field measurements, oral interviewsand other methods;Chapter five analyzes the factors that affect the environment is not comfortable, theauthor find that the layout of interior space, the daily use of equipment and buildingconstruction materials, environmental pathology are main factors that affect theenvironment is not comfortable;Chapter six analyzes the adaptive strategy by which the inhabitants adjust to theenvironment that is uncomfortable, the inhabitants can adjust to the uncomfortableenvironment through open or close the doors and windows and adjust the state of theclothes fit;Chapter seven state the research results and discuss future research possibilities.
