Accelerator control system is the brain and nerval system of the accelerator,and controls the generating,accelerating,propagating,extracting of the charged-particles in the accelerator. The characters of the control system such as response,stability,reliability and regulation resolution affect directly the operation of accelerators,so the design of the control system is very important.EPICS is developed by LANL and ANL,and can be integrated to provide a comprehensive and scalable control system.It has a client/server model with an efficient communication protocol(Channel Access) for passing data,and a distributed real-time database of machine values.Besides application in the accelerator,it can be seen in other fields of astronomy,industry and so on.The paper's work is based on the 30MeV high energy accelerator platform developed by Institute of Applied Electronics of China Academy of Engineering Physics,and includes following three parts:1.Investigating the functional module and architecture of EPICS.Depending on the compose of 30MeV linac,this paper describes the process variables,which need to be controlled,for each subsystem and the whole design of the control system.2.Applying EPICS in the magnet power supply control system.It describes the skeleton of the hardware and software of the system in details.Computer communicates with the programmable power supply by GPIB bus.the power supply control system is built in virtue of Asyn and StreamDevice.The database of control system is designed by use of VDCT.The operator interface is developed with MEDM.And the control system is debugged online.3.Applying EPICS in the beam profile monitors.It describes the skeleton of the hardware and software of the system in details.Computer communicates with the equipment by RS-232.The device support module and the application are created by means of Asyn.The database is designed according to VDCT.The operator interface is developed with MEDM. And the control system is debugged online.
