With development of technology, more and more problem of electromagnetic radiation has appeared in every field, electromagnetic environment measuring is becoming more and more important. However, electromagnetic environment measuring needs a lot of time. In order to improve the efficiency and accuracy of measuring, automatic measuring system of electromagnetic area with PCI-GPIB card interface was designed.Automated measuring system of electromagnetic environment includes two parts, namely hardware and software. The hardware consists of frequency analyzer,antenna switching,four antennas,a PCI-GPIB interface card and a computer. With the help of PCI-GPIB adapter, data communication is realized among computer, frequency analyzer and antenna switching. The software consists of driver program and application program.PCI-GPIB interface card, driver program and application programmer are mainly described in this paper. PCI-GPIB interface card uses PCI9052 as the PCI interface, two CPLD as data transmission and GPIB interface controlling. This card has two channels, one is for receiving data, and the other is for controlling instruments.The main code of device driver is developed by WinDriver toolkit and encapsulated with DLL. Besides, LabVIEW is used to developed system desktop. With powerful functions, LabVIEW is used in industry, research and other fields.Also, many problems of every section that may happen in practical process have also been explained clearly in this thesis.
