The dam safe monitor system's scale is quite big, the measuring point are more, and the monitor object has the multiplicity and the complexity, so, how to effectively manage, utilize these monitor information and give the feedback of operating characteristics and evaluation from the dam has been a hot and difficult problems of dam safety management. To this end, this paper combines with the design and development process of hydropower China Survey and Design Consultants Group Kunming Institute research "CFRD Safety Monitoring Management Information System", with the aim of meeting the Tianshengqiao dam construction, design, and scientific management. This system is designed on the basis of the CFRD operation management and security monitoring data management process, solves practical problems aimed at monitoring requirements. Specific content of the work is:1. The status of domestic and foreign-related survey and data collection; the systematic and demand analysis to the dam safety monitoring management information; the comprehensive analysis and evaluation to the benefits of research and development on projects and it's feasibility.2. To Research on the specific steps of the system development and the basic principles and define goals of system development. To do a more in-depth research into system developed technology routes and methods, the environment solutions.3. To collect and collate basic information data, monitoring equipment, monitoring data of the Tianshengqiao a hydropower dam project, and make a detailed analysis and processing; to design safety monitoring database of the dam basis on SQLServer2000.4. To use object-oriented program design method, dynamic SQL statements and component-based technology full in the development process of system to greatly enhance development efficiency, reduce the length of procedures and achieve effective and efficient.5. After The in-depth investigation and study on the actual operation situation and the monitoring data of Tianshengqiao dam's safety monitoring , the system complete the framework of the software system according to software development methods, realize the research data management, the original monitoring data management, line-drawing process (analysis), environmental monitoring of management, monitoring, data import, monitoring results and data management function in the design, coding, and debugging work of all of the dam safety monitoring projects, and have passed preliminary acceptance.6. In the procedures design process, we analyze visualization of monitoring data and visual data retrieval features, and study pros and cons of different developing methods, meanwhile, Implement the time-axis of the main axis of separation and optional features, improve the procedures operable.
