Based On The Development Of Inland Vessels Of Active Rfid Monitoring System

Inland waterways are the important traffic infrastructure, the shipping is playing the signify role on large amount cargo transport. Especially in East China and South China the inland shipping have great effect to the national economy. Because have no suitable Auto-ID technology, the ship monitor is still use manual observation, this traditional way has the insufficiencys, such as bad observation quality, the information can not be reused etc. To improve this situation, use active RFID technology to enhance the ship monitor effect was studied in this paper.Generally, RFID System consists of hardware instruments, such as Reader, Tag, and software components. The working principle and structure of components constituting RFID system was studied detailedly and systematically in this paper.The inland ship monitor has many special requirements, such as long distance, high correct rate etc. After comprehensive analysis, use the active RFID technology can get longer identification distance. A complete RFID system was build up with D300 Reader, K300 Tag and software Visual C++ 6.0, SQL Server 2000.RFID middleware was build up by tag inner code coding form and serial communication protocol. When software is designed, the reader and tag's complexity don't be considered. It is advantageous for software realization and maintenance. Interface was reserved for different RFID hardware.The ship track judge arithmetic was given based on studied the ship track rules. The software include 6 modules: data receive module, hardware diagnose module, data storage module, data look-up module, data statistics module and information display module.The effect of RFID technology application in ship monitor was validated by real condition test. The ship monitor system already was applying, it can automatic monitor passing ships 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and record ship information and track.
