Automotive mixed-model assemble is a customer-oriented-order, small-batch assemble production model, which can according to customer requirements produce different types of products on the same assembly line. During the automobile mixed-model assembly production process, parts omitted and assembled wrongly occurrences easily, or come into being waiting materials, sending the wrong materials and starving, etc. affecting the quality of products and production efficiency. Therefore, this paper use RFID and electronic board technology to research on real-time production monitoring system of automotive mixed-model assemble line, which can accomplished the real-time collection of workshop data, the tracking in products, the product quality monitoring, the transferring and timely feeding back process information, etc. guiding the workers to accomplish the correctly assembly, reducing the cost of error correction, increasing productivity. The main research contents are as follows:1. Analyze the research status of automotive mixed-model assemble and RFID applied. According to RFID technology characteristics and the problem of mixed-model assembly workshop, this article advances RFID to transform automotive mixed-model assembly workshop, expounding the key role of production monitoring, material monitoring and after-sales quality monitoring.2. Researching the current management problems of the car mixed-model assembly in the production process and the issues existing in the customer-oriented-order of production flow. Have done the requirement analysis, overall design, software architecture design and hardware structure design of automotive mixed-model assembly line production monitoring system.3. Have researched the data flow and data structure of production monitoring system.In mixed-model assembly lines, the workload assigned to a workstation may vary among the different models because each task processing time may vary among the different models. To balance the workload on a mixed-model assembly line, a novel sequencing model to Minimize workstation assistant expenses was established, and use the ant colony algorithm to solve the optimum model. 4. A prototype system of production monitor system for automotive mixed-model assembly line based on RFID is developed. Three main function modules is been developed importantly, which is production monitoring, material monitoring and after-sale quality monitoring. Design middleware of system for workshop real-time data processing. The data of the system is divided into three categories, named the basic data of system, the real-time collective data and the data of production planning and production scheduling. And through an example demonstrated the main function of the system.Production monitor system for automotive mixed-model assemble line based on RFID is developed in this paper, Which can assist the workers completing assembly task in various flow-line position, effective monitoring of production, significantly improve the quality of products, and enhance the competitiveness of enterprises.
