The urgent task for a thermal power plant is to improve its economy and reduce its costs under the situation of competitive power market. So it is very important to bring loading assignment into effect, improve the running efficiency, reduce the producing cost.Based on the Summary to a lot of literature in our and foreign countries, this thesis summarizes the studies for the load assignment, using dynamic optimization and Genetic algorithm, gets satisfied result by software realization. At first, the thesis expounds the method of how to gain and deal with the data, and using polynomial imitation calculates the coal-fired unit capability equation. According to the difference of the running mode, the corresponding mathematics models are compiled respectively, and the rules of choosing models are expatiated. Based on analyzing many optimization methods, the theories and application of the principle of equal incremental and dynamic optimization in the studies on optimizing load assignment are expounded. Introduced the modern bionic intelligent algorithms-- Immune Algorithm, Ant Colony Optimization, and their combination. In combinatorial Optimization section, genetic algorithm and immune algorithm are expounded, the two algorithms are simulated in MATLAB, using its toolboxes, and the calculation results are contrasted.
